I just discovered a new author and have fell in love--with her books, that is. Like me, Brandi Elledge write YA Paranormal Romance, but what sets her books apart is the laugh-out-loud humor that has me wanting to read more and more.
The first book in the series, Werewolf Queen, introduces the story with the character, Sadie, who is attending a special high school, one for supernaturals. The problem is, despite her family's long witchcraft history, she has no powers, no a one.
On the day of her eighteenth birthday, weird things begin to happen. Her best friend tells her she really does have powers, but they've been asleep. A bunch of supernaturals--vampires, werewolves, and demons crash her birthday party. Then she is practically kidnapped by some hot werewolf, surprisingly with the approval of her dad. She might have really enjoyed spending time with the hot shifter, but having his fiancé scowling at her every two seconds really puts a damper on the situation.
This young adult novel is a fun, adventurous tale with plenty of action, romance, and laugh-out-loud humor. After reading this book, I just couldn't stop. I had to read the next six books in quick succession.

Recommendations: I would recommend this book to readers aged sixteen and up. There is no on-screen sex, but there is kissing, romance, and plenty of swoon-worthy moments. There are very few, if any swear words. There is however violence, but nothing over-the-top.
